Great teeth. How many times has someone said this to you?
It's a funny thing : most societies around the planet do not emphasize great teeth as connected to great smile. I've seen fabulous smiles in remote places that had nothing to do with a recent visit to the dentist's office.
But we live in America and dentists need to pay the bills too.

Memphis and I went for hers and hers dental cleanings today. They have two Hygenists, each with a chair and cleaning gear, sharing a room with a divider holding their supplies. So we were kind of side by side. Memphis got to talk to me and share her enthusiasm. I got to listen to the best entertainment I'll probably have all day. ("Hey, this chair makes me stretchy!" "Ooh, that's tasty!") Each station has an overhead t.v. if you want to distract yourself.
They treated Memphis like a princess. She was in hog heaven. I've never seen such treatment. (Sure, they were nice to me, but I got teeth scraped
"with only a little bleeding" -- Hey! Ouch! That hurts! Memphis did NOT have teeth scraped!)
Anyway, they put on the Disney Channel for her, talked her through every bit of the procedure. Praised her for every little thing. Let her choose
between Princess Toothbrushes (oh, brother!), choose her cleaning paste flavor and vitamin flavor. She got a sticker AND after she waited patiently
for the Dentist to do his final check, a TOY! Man, if it weren't for Memphis advocating for me to get a sticker and a toy, I'd have just gotten a boring striped brush and floss... Oh, and scraped, slightly bleeding, but thoroughly measured gums.
Alas, we're clean and sparkly, and as Memphis has asked of everyone she's seen: "smell my breath"!
It was a blast!
